About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Finance and Operations to join our team at Oetker Collection. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Ensure strong financial management practices are in place, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review all monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Accounting and Compliance: Maintain accurate accounting records and provide financial reports to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and laws.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and develop a high-quality finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Planning: Proactively support the General Manager and lead the finance team in hotel strategic planning, focusing on value opportunities and optimizing systems to improve efficiency and information.
- Procurement and Supply Chain: Direct and manage the purchasing department, optimizing procurement processes to ensure cost-efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Internal Controls and Audit: Implement an internal control policy and audit processes, identifying financial risks and opportunities and developing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Communicate financial performance, forecasts, and strategies effectively to senior management, stakeholders, and investors.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Experience: Valuable experience in accounting positions (5 years) acquired in hotels or ideally in an international structure.
- Language: Perfect level of English.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of compliance requirements, best practice hotel operations, finance function set up, and standard systems.
- Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Communication and Presentation: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
