Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Operations Specialist to join our DevOps team at ÖBB in Wien-Leopoldstadt. As an SRE, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and scalability of our modern Rail Cargo International Platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing applications and systems, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing proactive measures to optimize stability and supportability. You will work closely with developers to ensure optimal system performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting application and system issues
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in infrastructure and applications
  • Implementing tools and automation to support DevOps practices and Continuous Delivery
  • Developing disaster recovery plans and performing regular testing

Requirements:

  • IT studies (computer science or informatics) and 2+ years of experience in a comparable position
  • Debugging and operations experience, programming skills, and project management skills
  • Agile collaboration experience and high degree of personal responsibility
  • Familiarity with technologies like Azure, ArgoCD, Terraform, Kubernetes, Monitoring, Jira, Confluence, Splunk, GitOps, Artifactory, RabbitMQ, and ITIL
