Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer for Android OS to join our team at Renesas Electronics America. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software solutions for our Android-based products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd level software support for our Android NFC SDK package
  • Support the development and maintenance of Android NFC SDK specifications and contribute to public Android repositories
  • Develop and demonstrate software for chip evaluation and porting SDK platform layer to various Android-based systems
  • Generate and review application notes, articles, and presentations
  • Setup technical product trainings for customers and internal staff
  • Participate in the development of future products and stay up-to-date with the latest Android versions and developments

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and several years of industrial experience
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Java
  • Experience in NFC/RFID protocols, standards, and products
  • Experience in development for Android and Embedded Linux platforms on common SoCs
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues and customers
  • Sound knowledge of English and local language(s)

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement of the Electrical and Electronics Industry, employment group G.
