Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Dublin.

Overview:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will engage in a vibrant work setting, contributing to a diverse array of commercial and research initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in the field of Biomedical research, guiding projects from initial concept through to market launch.

Company Overview:
Our client is a pioneering Medical Device firm established in 2010, recognized for its innovative bimodal neuromodulation technology aimed at treating neurological conditions. The primary application of this technology is a device designed to alleviate tinnitus, a prevalent condition affecting a significant portion of the adult population. With recent advancements and regulatory approvals, this is a pivotal moment for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate closely with the Project Lead and development team to innovate next-generation medical devices.
  2. Facilitate product development from initial concept through to post-production stages.
  3. Assist in the design and technology transition from product development to manufacturing.
  4. Coordinate with manufacturing teams and external partners.
  5. Conduct design tasks utilizing 3D and 2D CAD software.
  6. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical, electronic, electrical, software engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the medical device sector or a similar regulated engineering environment.
  • Experience in product design and development.
  • Proficient in Solidworks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
  • Strong communication skills, customer-focused, and self-driven.
