Schloss Krumbach International School (SKIS) is a prestigious co-educational boarding institution catering to students aged 12-19, situated in a historic Austrian castle.
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our enthusiastic educational team, providing tutoring assistance to our Middle School and High School learners in the area of German as a Foreign Language.
In-person teaching support is essential, with instruction delivered in English.
We offer a highly competitive hourly rate, with flexibility for negotiations.
Key Responsibilities- Comprehending educational materials, curriculum standards, and developing lesson plans.
- Assessing students' needs, strengths, and weaknesses to tailor lessons and evaluations accordingly.
- Modifying teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning groups.
- Communicating any academic concerns to the School Principal and parents.
- Overseeing laboratory sessions and conducting practical demonstrations.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Familiarity with the Austrian national curriculum and international education frameworks (IB, IGCSE, A Levels) is preferred.
- Ability to instruct and demonstrate educational activities.
- A positive outlook and a commitment to fostering student well-being.
- Proficiency in utilizing school-based information management systems.
- A genuine passion for teaching and a love for working with students.
Educational Background and Certifications
- A degree in a relevant field.
- Teaching certification is advantageous.
- Experience in tutoring is a plus.
- Awareness of various teaching methodologies.
- Patience, creativity, and expertise in classroom management.
- Strong multitasking capabilities.
- Fluency in English at C1/C2 level, with experience in delivering lessons in English.
- Eligibility to work in Austria or EU citizenship.
