Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to join our team. As a key member of our F&B department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurants and bars, ensuring that our guests receive the highest level of service and quality.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring daily F&B operations and implementing processes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Assisting the Director of F&B in controlling and analyzing various aspects of the F&B department, including guest satisfaction, marketing, revenue and expenses, cleanliness and hygiene
  • Conducting weekly inspections of kitchens and restaurants and reporting on findings
  • Creating and managing wine and beverage lists
  • Conducting daily hotel visits to observe operational standards and challenges and following up with relevant managers
  • Ensuring that monthly inventory adjustments are made for all operating materials in all sales outlets
  • Representing the Director of F&B in their absence
  • Completing tasks assigned by the Director of F&B and special projects
  • Planning, in collaboration with the Director of F&B and department heads, promotional campaigns and menus according to the annual marketing plan
  • Ensuring that all designated action points, daily briefings or bi-monthly operation meetings are followed up by the relevant persons
  • Responsibilities, under the guidance of the Director of F&B, such as hiring certain levels of personnel, employee orientation, performance evaluation, coaching to ensure an adequate staff supply and productivity
  • Ensuring that training sessions are conducted for all F&B employees to maintain or improve our legendary service standards and comply with H&S regulations
  • Creating forecasts
  • Supporting the hotel's strategy plan, annual marketing plan, goal program and budgeting for the F&B department
  • Updating the daily, weekly and monthly F&B report
  • Processing customer comments and complaints and taking corrective measures after consultation with the Director of F&B and the relevant department head
Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Luxury hotel experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of F&B operations, including restaurant and bar management, banquets, in-room dining, kitchen and stewarding
  • Good numerical skills and the ability to work extensively with spreadsheet software and budgeting tools
  • Experience in developing strategic business and/or food and beverage plans
  • Experience with benchmarking activities
  • Experience in creating food and beverage budgets, analyzing profit and loss statements, forecasting and managing promotional campaigns for food and beverages
  • Excellent ability to anticipate and plan ahead and make decisions
  • Experience in performance management and handling a multicultural environment, as well as a people-oriented approach
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Organizational talent, high integrity and professionalism, reliability, courtesy and a well-groomed appearance
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as enthusiasm and initiative
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German

Salary

The salary for this position is € 2,398.00 per month.
