Senior Staff Product Application Engineer

As a Senior Staff Product Application Engineer at Infineon Technologies, you will play a key role in assisting customers with our Medium Voltage GaN products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create technical articles and promotional materials, and provide technical direction to in-house R&D teams. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring smooth teamwork and overseeing technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Support customers during design-in activities for Infineon Medium Voltage GaN products
- Act as third-level customer support, collaborating with Field Application Engineering and Sales teams
- Create technical articles and promotional materials with Product Marketing and Product Definition Engineering teams
- Provide technical direction to in-house R&D, advocating for customer needs
- Collaborate with R&D, Validation, Verification, and Production Test teams
- Review and release technical documentation in coordination with global teams
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Product Application Engineer who is passionate about new technologies and eager to join us on our quest to create a more sustainable future for everyone. You will be responsible for guiding Research & Development (R&D), ensuring smooth teamwork, and overseeing technical documentation.
Requirements- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Deep understanding of switching power supplies (SMPS) and power supply topologies (AC/DC and DC/DC)
- 5+ years of experience in product application engineering
- Proven ability to navigate complex problems, providing technical guidance to teams and consolidating their efforts towards solutions
- Comfortable interfacing with customers and bridging the gap between internal R&D and external partners
- Willingness to travel occasionally, including the possibility of intercontinental trips
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
