Job Introduction

Frequentis Group, an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks, is seeking a skilled IT Engineer to join their Air Traffic Management Tower Solutions Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical specification, setup, integration, and acceptance of systems at customer sites.

Key Tasks
  • Ensure the technical specification, setup, integration, and acceptance of a system at the customer site.
  • Act as a technical contact person for customers within projects, providing ongoing support and guidance.
  • Configure and commission commercially available IT and network components in a security-critical environment.
  • Clarify technical feasibility, co-design system architecture, and optimize systems under cost-benefit aspects.
  • Coordinate internal and external suppliers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct acceptance tests with customers, project teams, and other stakeholders.
Key Qualifications
  • Relevant professional experience as a system engineer or system administrator.
  • Technical background with a focus on IT, including apprenticeship, study, or career change.
  • Good Linux knowledge and practical experience.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% internationally.
  • Eagerness to work in the field of air traffic management.
  • Very good English skills mandatory, any other language a plus.
  • Linux certifications, such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator, an advantage.
  • Enjoy working with customers.
  • First experience with networks (Layer2 + Layer3) and ideally protocol knowledge (UDP, TCP, Multicast).
