As a Data Center Critical Environment Technician Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for our cloud services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.
ResponsibilitiesAs a manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of operations specialists who oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of critical environment-related facility equipment, including controls, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), mechanical systems, and generators. You will also be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our data centers, which are comprised of over 200 facilities in 32 countries.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of operations specialists to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our data centers
- Overseeing the inspection, maintenance, and repair of critical environment-related facility equipment
- Ensuring compliance with safety and security requirements, including job hazard assessments (JHAs) and toolbox talks
- Participating in required meetings, trainings, and handoffs
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in mission-critical services work or a related field
- Ability to meet Microsoft's security screening requirements
