About the Role

The Industrial IoT Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the digitalization strategy for MML across their respective region. This individual will be responsible for managing the network of systems from Operational Technology to cloud technology, as well as developing and implementing digitalization initiatives across MML divisions. This position will also focus on the digitalization of production lines and on-premises infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Develop new techniques to connect legacy equipment to modern infrastructure.
  2. Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes.
  3. Create IoT applications that run on-premises and in the cloud.
  4. Support the creation of technical guidelines, standards, and templates for digitalization projects to be scaled across the MML group.
  5. Support the creation of an OT architecture for MML divisions.
  6. Interface with corporate and support divisions to implement digitalization projects.
  7. Receive and provide training to divisional teams related to digitalization.
  8. Develop KPIs, metrics, and other monitoring tools to track I4.0 production environments.
Preferred Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, Information Systems, or equivalent proof of baseline knowledge. Additionally, we require:

  1. 3+ years experience in software development.
  2. Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, JavaScript, C++).
  3. Recommend best practices for building secure and reliable applications.
  4. Brainstorm new ideas and ways to improve development and delivery.
  5. Experience with databases and different types of data storage.
  6. Good understanding of IoT, security, communication protocols (MQTT), UNS (Unified Name Space).
  7. Familiarity with PLC programming in Siemens and Rockwell controllers, among others.
