About the Job

We're seeking a seasoned Computer Vision/Machine Learning Engineer to join our portfolio company and drive innovation in digitizing the analog world.

In this role, you'll work on core computer vision and neural network components for our world-class mobile OCR products.

Our portfolio company is a leading Austrian firm focused on AI-based mobile text recognition and data capture, supporting multinational corporations and governments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of organizing, managing, generating, and preparing data for training and evaluating novel machine learning approaches.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional Engineering team, including mobile engineers, cloud engineers, architects, and domain specialists.
  • Work closely with the Product team to understand business needs, identify suitable solutions, and help define and drive the product vision.
  • Contribute to key development and architectural decisions, applying state-of-the-art design patterns and development methodologies.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of industry experience and profound knowledge in Computer Vision and Machine Learning.
  • Experience with modern neural network architectures, deployment, and operation of machine learning systems (MLOps).
  • Proficient programming skills in Python, with hands-on experience with OpenCV, TensorFlow, and NumPy.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and goal-orientation.
  • Proactive attitude to push boundaries and go beyond comfort zones.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English.
