Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our Electrification division as a key member of our global purchasing team. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for leading complex global projects, managing procurement aspects, and developing strategic relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the purchasing project team in complex global projects in the Electrification sector.
  • Assume project responsibility for all procurement aspects of various technologies - from the quotation phase to the start of production.
  • Lead the bidding team for future programs.
  • Serve as the first escalation level for program buyers within the program.
  • Responsible for supplier selection/nomination and supplier development.
  • Act as an interface between suppliers, developers, and strategic purchasing.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for colleagues in the department and train new employees.
  • Identify and generate synergies between customer projects.
  • Responsible for the co-design, further development, and improvement of purchasing processes and standards.
  • Support the implementation of purchasing strategies.
  • Act as a sparring partner for the Senior Manager Purchasing Electrification.

Requirements

  • Completed technical education with a focus on electrical engineering, electronics, or mechatronics (HTL, FH, TU) or a business education with a technical background (e.g., HTL).
  • Extensive experience as a buyer in a technical environment, ideally in the automotive industry.
  • Leadership experience and/or experience in managing complex projects is required.
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
  • Very good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required; SAP experience is an advantage.
  • High flexibility and solution orientation with good problem-solving skills.
  • Enjoyment of project and team work and the willingness to share knowledge.
  • Excellent self-organization and time management skills.
  • Confident demeanor and excellent interaction with suppliers.
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 30%).

For this position, a gross annual salary of at least 75,000 EUR (gross, on a full-time basis) is planned. A significant overpayment is possible with appropriate qualifications and experience.
