About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cyber Security Specialist. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security threats, develop and implement effective security measures, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses
  • Developing and implementing incident response plans to minimize the impact of security incidents
  • Collaborating with development teams to ensure that security considerations are integrated into the design and development of software systems
  • Providing training and awareness programs to employees on cybersecurity best practices
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies to ensure that our security posture remains strong
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Preferred Skills

Having experience with cloud security platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure, and a certification in cybersecurity, such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP, would be advantageous.
