About the OpportunityWe invite you to collaborate with our team at AVL, a leading mobility technology company, on an exciting project focused on developing advanced electro-chemical-mechanical battery models. This thesis opportunity will enable you to contribute to enhancing the performance and reliability of electric vehicles.
Responsibilities- Investigate state-of-the-art electro-chemical-mechanical modeling approaches for automotive batteries
- Develop mathematical and computational models for battery behavior under different mechanical conditions
- Validate the developed models using experimental data
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Ongoing master studies in Engineering, Technical (computer science), or Natural sciences (physics, mathematics)
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language
- Knowledge of battery technology is advantageous but not required
- Experience in mechanical FEA simulations is beneficial but not mandatory
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Fluent English language skills are essential; fluent German is beneficial
