This role involves collaborating with our team to develop the embedded systems for cellular RF transceivers and radio systems. You'll work on designing, implementing, and verifying the real-time control firmware with all aspects of embedded software development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and optimize the RF firmware architecture of a state-of-the-art mobile wireless communications system.
  2. Develop and optimize RF sequencing and processing algorithms, RF front end, and other RF components in a cellular system.
  3. Implement RF device drivers and control software for RF transceivers and RF front end components with precise timing requirements.
  4. Collaborate with systems engineers, RF silicon designers, and IC designers to define RF transceiver architecture, optimize for power, and support software computing requirements.
  5. Work with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and drive key radio features.
  6. Verify implemented firmware and investigate critical RF issues in a cross-functional HW/FW working environment.

Requirements:

  • Low-level programming expertise using C++, C, and assembler
  • Embedded systems proficiency, 32-bit micro-controllers, ISR, real-time processing, limited and shared resources
  • Computer architecture and HW/SW co-verification
  • Debugging using RTL simulation and SystemC environments, as well as target HW
  • Quality awareness and a passion for growing a healthy RF system
  • Collaborative and creative mindset to take on challenges
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in signal processing
  • Knowledge in mobile communications (2G/3G/4G) and preferable in 5G
