Role Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for advancing this breakthrough technology through its development and early-stage clinical validation. This strategic leader will oversee fundraising efforts, stakeholder relationships, and corporate networking to position ArtiFex for a successful exit in the future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fundraising Strategy: Develop targeted fundraising initiatives to secure capital for First-In-Human trials, critical to demonstrating the clinical safety and efficacy of the ArtiFex Vascular Graft.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Leverage your professional network in cardiovascular medical devices to build alliances with financial backers and clinical validation partners.
  • Biomedical Expertise: Utilize your background in biomedical sciences to collaborate with research teams, bridging R&D and clinical application.
  • Surgeon Engagement: Establish relationships with leading thoracic and cardiovascular surgeons to foster early support, feedback, and advocacy for ArtiFex's graft technology.
  • Exit Roadmap Development: Define and execute a strategy that positions ArtiFex for a successful exit, including identifying potential acquirers and setting long-term company value goals.
Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a mix of scientific knowledge, entrepreneurial drive, fundraising experience, and a vast professional network within the cardiovascular medical device field. Key qualifications include:

  • Biomedical Background: A strong foundation in biomedical sciences, enabling a unique understanding of the R&D process.
  • Fundraising Expertise: Proven ability to raise capital for early-stage medical device trials, ideally with experience securing funds for First-In-Human studies.
  • Corporate Network: Established connections within the cardiovascular medical device industry, facilitating partnerships for strategic and clinical advancement.
  • Clinical Relationships: A well-developed network with thoracic and cardiovascular surgeons, supporting clinical validation and early adoption.
  • Exit Strategy Focus: Demonstrated skill in defining and executing strategies aimed at positioning early-stage ventures for acquisition or other exits.

As the CEO of ArtiFex, you will have the opportunity to lead a groundbreaking innovation from clinical validation to industry impact, working at the forefront of cardiovascular advancements to address pressing medical needs and shape the future of vascular surgery.

Salary: €120,000 - €180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include equity-based remuneration, cash compensation linked to fundraising milestones, co-funding opportunities, access to NLC Ecosystem, and strategic support from our Venture Partner network.
