Position Overview:
As we approach a significant milestone of 3 million learners, we are in search of a business intelligence analyst to assist us in making informed, data-driven choices. If you possess a background in analytics, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a desire to create a positive social impact, this role may be ideal for you.
You will work closely with our Head of Business Operations and play a pivotal role in establishing our business intelligence and data science capabilities, with opportunities to evolve into a data scientist position as our organization grows.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour Contributions:
- Conduct thorough analyses to uncover essential insights and trends through exploratory data assessments; perform statistical evaluations tailored to specific objectives and datasets.
- Collaborate across departments by engaging with various teams, including learning, marketing, product, and engineering, to pinpoint and implement data-driven strategies.
- Simplify and communicate insights effectively, ensuring accessibility and actionability for all stakeholders, including those without technical expertise; weave together disparate data points to narrate a cohesive story.
- Identify and integrate suitable data sources while managing data infrastructure, including the establishment of a company-wide data warehouse and visualization tools, and guiding teams in utilizing these resources efficiently.
- Develop and enhance automated, self-service reporting systems, including the creation of dashboards and reports using platforms such as Mixpanel or Looker Studio.
- Establish and oversee ETL pipelines in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external data providers.
What You Bring:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in business analytics, ideally within an app or technology startup environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Looker Studio). Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is advantageous.
- Experience with statistical methodologies including multiple regression, time series analysis, and decision tree models. Knowledge of AI concepts is a plus.
- Strong analytical abilities, a passion for leveraging (new) technologies, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to interpret and convey complex data insights to business stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of German is beneficial. Experience in app development and/or the education sector is a plus.
