Thesis Opportunity in Additive Manufacturing for Fuel Cell Vehicles

We are seeking a highly motivated student to contribute to our research project on additive manufacturing for fuel cell vehicles. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop innovative concepts for automotive test systems and work closely with our experienced team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop novel geometries and advanced combinations of materials for additive manufacturing
  • Embed fiber optic sensor technology in additively manufactured components
  • Realize and construct demonstrators (prototypes) for testing and evaluation
  • Evaluate laboratory and simulation results in the field

Your Profile

  • Ongoing studies in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Production Engineering, or similar
  • Basic knowledge of sensor technologies and additive manufacturing
  • Mastery of at least one 3D CAD software
  • Basic knowledge of electrical drive systems and CFD advantageous
  • Structured and independent way of working with willingness to learn
  • Good knowledge of German and English
