Cyber Security Threat Hunter

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Threat Hunter to join our team at CANCOM Austria AG. As a key member of our Cyber Defense Center, you will be responsible for designing and implementing threat detections for our cloud and on-premise security solutions. Your expertise in SIEM and EDR systems will enable you to analyze security incidents and collect intrusion indicators to improve detection capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement threat detections for cloud and on-premise security solutions.
- Analyze security incidents and collect intrusion indicators to enhance detection coverage.
- Collaborate with operations, threat intelligence, and incident responder teams to ensure seamless detection and response processes.
- Proactively hunt for new threats and attackers using self-driven online research and open-source intelligence.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A deep passion for cybersecurity and commitment to safeguarding digital environments.
- Previous experience working with SIEM solutions or proficiency in detection languages (SPL, AQL, KQL, DSL, Lucene, SIGMA).
- Expertise in SOC operations, threat detection, digital forensics, threat intelligence, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
- The ability to think innovatively, independently, and courageously in the face of evolving cyber threats.
- Strong sociable and communicative skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.

- A gross minimum salary of €31,200 per annum, adjusted regularly based on performance.
