Senior Test Engineer for Railway Control Software

Siemes Mobility, a leading provider of transport solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join its team in Vienna or Graz, Austria. As a key member of the Passenger Coaches Department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing test strategies for control system software, ensuring efficient software verification and validation.

Responsibilities:
- Define and implement test strategies for control system software
- Collaborate with software development engineers and assessors to ensure project plans and deliverables are accurate and achievable
- Establish operational objectives and work plans, delegating assignments as needed
- Monitor and manage capacity, skills, experience, and work to ensure timely delivery and continuously improve test quality
- Plan and implement test automation, seeking out new tools and opportunities
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a technical degree in computer science, electrical engineering, railway engineering, or a related field
- Several years of experience in test management, with knowledge in agile software development
- Deep expertise in software testing, with a strong focus on automation and hands-on testing experience
- Extensive experience in writing and reviewing requirements, familiarity with requirement management tools
- Knowledgeable in safety-critical software development and testing
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a focus on building relationships and providing constructive feedback
