Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Systems Specialist to join our team at the International Finance Corporation. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to improve food safety, reduce food loss and waste, and promote food fortification across emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement policies and programs to improve food safety, reduce food loss and waste, and promote food fortification in emerging markets.
  2. Collaborate with governments, international organizations, and the private sector to advance IFC's agenda on food systems.
  3. Provide technical assistance and capacity building to clients and partners on food safety, food loss prevention, and food fortification.
  4. Develop and manage partnerships with key stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, and the private sector.
  5. Conduct research and analysis on food systems and policy issues related to food safety, food loss and waste, and food fortification.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in international law, public administration, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of professional experience in food-related sectors within international organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of agribusiness policy analysis and international trade regulations.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
