Position Overview:
As we approach a significant milestone of nearly 3 million learners, we are in search of a business intelligence analyst to enhance our data-driven decision-making processes. If you possess a background in analytics, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a desire to create a positive social impact, this role may be ideal for you.
You will work closely with our Head of Business Operations and will have a pivotal role in establishing our business intelligence and data science capabilities, with opportunities to evolve into a data scientist position as our organization grows.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour Contributions:
- Conduct thorough analyses to uncover critical insights and trends through exploratory data evaluations; perform statistical analyses tailored to specific objectives and datasets.
- Collaborate across departments by engaging with various teams, including learning, marketing, product, and engineering, to identify and implement data-driven strategies.
- Simplify and communicate insights effectively, ensuring accessibility and actionability for all stakeholders, including those without technical backgrounds; connect disparate data points to narrate a cohesive story.
- Identify and integrate suitable data sources while managing data infrastructure, including establishing a company-wide data warehouse and visualization tools, and training teams to utilize these resources effectively.
- Develop and enhance automated, self-service reporting systems, including creating dashboards and reports using tools such as Mixpanel or Looker Studio.
- Establish and maintain ETL pipelines in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external data providers.
What You Bring:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in business analytics, preferably within an app or technology startup environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Looker Studio). Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is advantageous.
- Experience with statistical methodologies including multiple regression, time series analysis, and decision tree models. Knowledge of AI is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, a passion for utilizing (new) technologies, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and convey complex data insights to business stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of German is beneficial. Experience in app development and/or the education sector is a plus.

We offer a competitive minimum salary, starting at EUR 50,000 (gross, full-time equivalent), with the potential for higher compensation based on experience and qualifications.
