We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to lead our data insights initiatives at Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences. As a key member of our development team, you will design and develop scalable software solutions that support our core operations.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Python and SQL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, database management, and data analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software applications using Python and SQL
  • Design and optimize databases for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Integrate third-party APIs and tools to enhance system functionality
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices are followed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience
  • Strong expertise in Python programming and SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django)
  • Strong understanding of database design, query optimization, and data modeling
  • Solid knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git)
