This consultancy will provide technical expertise to the Plant Breeding and Genetics subprogramme, focusing on projects related to mutation induction for better adaptation to climate change. The consultant will offer technical advice in designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating these projects.

The consultant will play a key role in establishing and managing public-private sector partnerships, identifying new partnership opportunities, and providing technical expertise to foster these partnerships. Responsibilities also include preparing newsletters, updating databases, and drafting briefing notes.

• Identify and develop partnerships with public and private sector organizations to support plant breeding and genetics research.
• Provide technical expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating crop improvement projects aimed at improving climate change adaptation.
• Offer technical input and editorial review for reports, projects, and publications related to plant breeding and genetics and relevant biotechnologies.
