Overview

The MS TI department at Primetals Technologies is seeking a skilled Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions for our products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced solutions for MS own products, focusing on further development, drafting, and design.
  • Drive the market introduction of our advanced products, ensuring successful launch and adoption.
  • Write assembly and disassembly descriptions for customers and suppliers, highlighting the benefits of our products.
  • Publish PAV and TSP documents based on existing solutions, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare technical solution presentations and R&D review presentations, emphasizing customer benefits and value.
  • Support sales teams by preparing offers and cost calculations, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Lead pre-project and project management for spare replacements, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Collaborate with other departments and regional companies to drive business growth and success.
  • Participate in international travel (20%), representing the company and driving business development.
  • Perform process and quality checks at suppliers' premises, ensuring certification and compliance.
  • Manage and own products, driving their development and improvement.

    Requirements

    • Proficiency in the MS Office package, with excellent AutoCAD, Inventor, or Solid Edge skills.
    • Technical education in mechanical, metallurgical, mechatronic, or fluid engineering, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mechanics and/or continuous casting technology.
    • Strong general technical knowledge, with the ability to connect different factors to solve complex problems.
    • Excellent technical English, with additional languages a plus.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and suppliers.
    • Flexibility, a willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to work.
    • Good time management, with the ability to plan and organize work effectively.
