Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team at REWE International IT. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based platforms, with a focus on Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and management of applications in our Kubernetes clusters.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IAC): Develop and maintain IAC using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and other cloud-native tools.
  • Platform Architect: Design and architect our Kubernetes container platforms to meet the needs of our business.
  • Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Linux Expertise: Excellent knowledge of Linux with experience as a SysAdmin.
  • Kubernetes Administration: In-depth knowledge of administering and advanced usage of Kubernetes.
  • Cloud Computing: Experience and solid understanding of cloud computing service providers, especially GCP.
  • Security and Hardening: Awareness of and hands-on experience in hardening and security practices.
  • Automation and IAC: Hands-on experience with automation, configuration management, and IAC tools like Ansible or Terraform.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge of multiple topics, including Gitops, CI/CD tools, Agile development, logging and monitoring tools, software-defined networking, and enterprise storage systems.
