Erste Group Bank AG is seeking a talented Data Science Intern to join our Group Central Compliance and Strategy team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building up advanced analytics capabilities for Compliance in Erste Group.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with compliance and business units to identify and address financial crime patterns using data analytics
  • Support in transforming patterns into AI/machine learning based detection models to improve risk detection and efficiency
  • Deploy, monitor, and recalibrate detection models in production to ensure high service quality
  • Contribute to designing and maintaining adequate data models for ongoing insights generation

Your Background

  • Ongoing studies at a University/University of Applied Sciences with a quantitative focus
  • Good understanding of common machine learning approaches and algorithms
  • Very good knowledge of major tools used in data science, such as Python, SQL, PySpark, and Big Data ecosystem
  • Language skills: English full professional proficiency
