We're searching for an accomplished engineer to manage our mobile SDK engineering activities. As a Senior Mobile SDK Engineer, you'll join a talented team driving the client-facing operation of Sentry.

About the role
  • You'll be accountable for our mobile SDKs for iOS, Android, React Native, and Flutter.
  • Primary responsibility for the React Native SDK, with involvement in end-to-end mobile platform development.
  • Contributions to API design, product experiences, and technology evolution for our mobile offerings.
Your key responsibilities
  • Work closely with product engineering and client infrastructure teams to enhance and innovate Sentry's Mobile products.
  • Utilize various programming languages, systems, and technologies to address challenges related to mobile SDKs: JavaScript/TypeScript, Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java, and Dart.
  • Collaborate with other SDK teams on API and protocol design that meets scalability requirements.
  • Drive strategic initiatives for the mobile team across the organization.
  • Develop unit and integration tests to ensure accuracy, as well as comprehensive documentation for colleagues and customers.
Your qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer and/or related role (e.g., mobile app developer, SDK engineer).
  • Strong background in developing for mobile platforms (iOS and/or Android).
  • Proficiency in programming languages used on mobile platforms.
  • Familiarity with React Native, with added value from experience with Flutter, C/C++, or maintaining open-source libraries.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive successful cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Willingness to live in the Vienna area or relocate.
