Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Project Engineer to join our global Engineering division. This hybrid role will report directly to the Engineering Manager EMEA (East) and have a dotted line to the DevOps team leader/manager. The successful candidate will assist the DevOps Engineering manager in coordinating the DevOps function in the region, act as a technical point of escalation, and support project engineers within the team on the deployment and delivery of Nomad products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with R&D to ensure all products are tested and quality-checked prior to deployment.
  • Mentor and train the engineering team on DevOps practices and tools.
  • Work collaboratively with other DevOps engineers and team leaders to share resources and deliver solutions to Time, Cost, and Quality.
  • Assist the DevOps engineering manager in managing team workload and triage on incoming work in JIRA.
  • Report on workload and KPIs as agreed.
  • Ensure control of all products and configuration releases to projects and operational fleets is maintained.
  • Support projects and operational fleets for all product upgrades and general releases.
  • Diagnose faults and offer solutions across a broad range of IT and communication systems with an emphasis on Linux environments, Virtualization, Security, and networking.
  • Implement and support complex solutions in diverse system environments.
  • Configure equipment to match project objectives.
  • Build test specifications and undertake test cycles to develop test plans and document the results.
  • Manage the handover to client or in-house support staff, including training.
  • Troubleshoot and offer 3rd line support to other business divisions and customers.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Linux, and networking.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Excellent German and English skills, written and spoken.
  • Work permission in the EU.
Desirable Qualifications
  • RHCA or equivalent.
  • Linux Professional Institute or equivalent experience.
  • CCNA or equivalent or Cisco experience.
