About the Position

We are seeking an exceptional Translational Oncolytic Immunotherapy Research Scientist to join our dynamic team in Innsbruck, Austria. As a member of our dedicated research team, you will play a critical role in developing innovative viral-based immune-oncology treatment options.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating mechanisms of action of oncolytic viruses through the development and optimization of new flow cytometry assays. This includes characterizing virus particles using flow virometry and optimizing methods for in vivo expansion and activation of immune cells and oncolytic viruses.

Requirements

  • PhD, PharmD, or MD/PhD in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine, Virology, or a related field with at least 4 years of experience
  • Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge in basic and advanced flow cytometry is a must
  • Experience in small particle analysis/flow cytometry is a strong asset
  • Experience working with patient samples is a plus
  • Sound knowledge of cancer immunology, cancer immunotherapy, and ex vivo assays is preferred
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills are essential to integrate in a multi-disciplinary, lively, and flexible team
  • Evidence of scientific rigor as documented by first author peer-reviewed publications
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written; German language skills would be highly appreciated (otherwise willingness to learn German)
