Electrical Engineering Expert for High-Speed Design

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Principal Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for driving requirement discussions with customers and shaping innovative solutions.

You will define concepts for HSIO IP development, make crucial architectural decisions, and provide expert consulting on cutting-edge circuit designs. If you are ready to lead and collaborate on breakthrough technologies, this is the ideal position for you.

In your new role, you will:

  • Be the primary point of contact for customers, drive requirement discussions, and define concepts for HSIO IP development.
  • Offer consulting services to customers on the most suitable standard and circuit solution based on their needs.
  • Represent the company in various standardization bodies, covering automotive to die-to-die applications.
  • Make initial architectural choices based on requirements.
  • Coordinate power integrity/signal integrity analysis.
  • Provide integration guidelines and support to customers.
  • Support the integration of 3rd party IPs in larger SoCs.

To succeed in this position, you should have:

  • A university degree (MSc or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, accompanied by 10+ years of experience in high-speed wireline architecture or high-speed wireline design.
  • A solid understanding of basic high-speed wireline concepts, including voltage/current mode drivers, clock-and-data recovery, FFE, DFE, CTLE, adaptive algorithms, and sampler sensitivity.
  • A solid grasp of wireline clocking concepts and familiarity with jitter and phase noise specifications.
  • Experience with timing and voltage budgeting.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with a willingness to support and mentor younger colleagues in the definition phase of a project.
  • Fluency in German is a plus, as well as proficiency in Simulink/Matlab and strong networking in standardization bodies.
