Senior Technical Project Manager

Job Summary:
VTU Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead our technical disciplines and drive the successful realization of large-scale projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management of all technical aspects, including planning, execution, and coordination of technical activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement technical concepts in line with project contracts and customer requirements.
- Oversee the execution and optimization of plant design, ensuring alignment with project budget, schedule, company guidelines, and standards.
- Organize and monitor planning processes, ensuring quality and progress.
- Coordinate technical disciplines, lead the engineering team, and support the project team with technical expertise.
- Develop and maintain standards and project-specific engineering manuals.
- Review and approve services, including suppliers, and plan and manage FATs and SATs.
- Monitor and participate in the identification of project risks and develop risk reduction plans.
- Facilitate project meetings and serve as the primary technical interface with customers.
Requirements:
- Completed technical studies in process engineering, plant or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Training in project management is an advantage.
- Corporate thinking and customer orientation.
- Several years of relevant professional experience in engineering management of large-scale projects, preferably in the pharmaceutical or chemical plant sector.
- Comprehensive, interdisciplinary technical knowledge and experience in engineering industrial projects.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership skills and team orientation, coupled with commitment and a hands-on mentality.
- Very good knowledge of English, ideally very good knowledge of German.
- Willingness to travel (mainly in Europe).
