Job Overview:

Southern Health-Santé Sud is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Patient Registration Specialist. About the Role:

The Patient Registration Specialist will be responsible for accurately collecting and verifying patient information, maintaining confidentiality, and providing effective communication services to clients and staff. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately collect and verify patient information
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to provincial client registry best practices
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and staff
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Demonstrate initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program
  • Recent experience in a patient reception/care area, specifically in registration of patients within an Admission/Discharge/Transfer (ADT) system preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and email

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $45,000-$55,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
