We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at the Zumtobel Group, an international leader in innovative lighting solutions. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of modern lighting systems.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating technical specifications and system architectures for the integration of electronics-based components, including sensors, communication units, and controllers. Your expertise will ensure the highest quality and performance requirements in real lighting systems. You will also work closely with internal and external development partners to select, verify, and develop components, as well as provide third-level support and handle complaints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create technical specifications and system architectures for electronics-based component integration
  • Develop innovative system solutions globally, interdisciplinarily, and across the product life cycle
  • Select, verify, and develop components in collaboration with internal and external development partners
  • Release and document components, ensuring compatibility with lighting and control systems
  • Integrate system solutions into lighting and control systems, guaranteeing high-quality performance
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need a Master's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, or a related field from a reputable university. You should have several years of professional experience in product development, requirements engineering, and project management, ideally in the lighting industry or complex systems development. In-depth knowledge of requirements engineering tools and processes (UML/SysML), embedded systems, communication technologies, and wireless standards such as Bluetooth, RFID, ZigBee, and WLAN is essential.
