Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our R&D team in Vienna, Austria. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing novel technologies for the next generation of wearable AR devices. You will work closely with our hardware and software teams to design, prototype, and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning models.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms for computer vision tasks, including object detection, hand/body tracking, and scene understanding.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new machine learning models and deploy them on wearable AR devices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and computer vision, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation in our products.
- Work with our engineering and research teams to advance state-of-the-art machine learning and computer vision algorithms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of research and/or engineering experience with machine learning approaches in areas like object detection, hand/body tracking, object pose tracking, scene understanding (segmentation, classification), neural scene representation.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.), as well as with cloud environments (GC, AWS, etc.).
- Experience with software development in Python or C++.
Preferred Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in related field (Computer Vision, Machine Learning).
- Experience in geometric computer vision such as multi-view 3D reconstruction, SLAM, Tracking, Depth Estimation, etc.
- Experience with neural network optimization (pruning, quantization, distillation) to deploy efficient models to resource-constrained devices.
- Experience with CV/ML engineering for a SW/HW product.
