Development Engineer in Commercial Vehicle Chassis Design

AVL List GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Development Engineer to join our team in Austria (AT). As a Development Engineer in Commercial Vehicle Chassis Design, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative chassis solutions for trucks and buses.
Your Responsibilities:- Design and develop commercial vehicle chassis concepts
- Conduct structural analyses to evaluate load and performance of chassis components
- Perform vehicle dynamics simulations to analyze commercial vehicle handling and stability
- Select and clarify purchased parts from suppliers
- Support prototype construction in-house (AVL Tech-Center)
- Verify and validate developed chassis solutions, including analysis and interpretation of test results and internal documentation
- Support patent examinations and ensure quality and process-compliant component development
- Completed education in mechanical engineering or mechatronics
- At least 5 years of professional experience in chassis component development for commercial vehicles
- Solid CAD knowledge (main CAD systems: CREO, NX, CATIA)
- Knowledge of simulation and calculation tools in chassis technology desirable
- Business fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel for 1-3 days per month (Europe-wide)

Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: 61, The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry).
