Role Overview
The Academic Program Coordinator is integral to the successful management of our academic initiatives at the Vienna Center. This position entails overseeing a diverse array of course offerings, catering to a significant number of students each semester, and collaborating with a team of adjunct faculty members. The coordinator will engage in various administrative functions, maintain effective communication, and provide essential support to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Faculty Engagement:
- Serve as the main point of contact for faculty inquiries, facilitating communication between faculty and the academic team.
- Assist in the organization of academic processes, including class scheduling and faculty meetings.
- Disseminate relevant academic information and policies to faculty members.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new faculty, including orientation sessions and ongoing support.
- Student Support:
- Provide academic advising throughout the semester, assisting students with their academic journey.
- Guide students in understanding academic requirements and selecting appropriate courses.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or higher.
- Proficient in both English and German.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in an academic or administrative setting.
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid work permit.
- Availability to work additional hours and weekends as needed.
