Strategic Metal Category Manager

We are seeking an experienced Metal Category Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Material Group Management department, you will be responsible for developing strategic procurement plans, coordinating with international stakeholders, and implementing purchasing projects aimed at enhancing our long-term cost position and minimizing risks.

• Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement material group strategies in the metal sector, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Strategic Supplier Management: Establish, maintain, and develop supplier relationships worldwide, conducting negotiations, and concluding long-term framework agreements.
• Market Analysis: Analyze markets, trends, and competitors to identify opportunities and adapt procurement strategies.
• Project Management: Manage projects to optimize the value chain, from supplier selection to the implementation of new processes and materials.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as production, quality assurance, development, and finance to ensure optimal procurement solutions.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, engineering, materials science, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in category management, preferably in the metal or raw materials sector.
• Experience in strategic supplier management and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in German and English; additional languages are an asset.
• High level of initiative, assertiveness, and strong communication skills.

The annual gross salary for this position is approximately EUR 83,600, based on market standards and your specific qualifications and experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a range of benefits that enhance your overall well-being and career growth.
