Supply Chain Business Manager

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Business Manager is responsible for defining metrics and monitoring supplier performance to ensure continuous supplier improvement. This role involves evaluating quality and setting performance benchmarks, as well as identifying risks associated with supplier selection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement process improvements to deploy best known methods related to procurement, inventory control, and manufacturing strategies
  • Encourage early supplier involvement in new product design to optimize quality and manufacturability
  • Establish goals with suppliers to ensure material delivery meets forecasted demand
  • Act as an escalation point to resolve shortages and supply chain disruptions
  • Represent supplier business management on cross-functional commodity teams to ensure internal and external customer needs are satisfied
  • Collaborate with engineering and suppliers to resolve complex problems and ensure on-time delivery of critical materials
  • Develop presentations, white papers, and process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field
  • More than 5 years of Supply Chain Management experience, managing global suppliers on direct and indirect materials and services
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing agreements and contracting
  • Experience in developing and managing supplier performance metrics, such as OTD, Consignment, and Leadtime
  • Familiarity with semiconductor or high-technology supply management practices, standards, and organizations
  • Creative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities, with solid analytical skills
  • Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Solid written and oral communication skills in English, with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization
  • Excellent skills in MS Office, with ERP familiarity (SAP experience a plus)
