Sanctions Compliance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sanctions Compliance Officer to join our team at Raiffeisenbankengruppe. As a key member of our Compliance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the bank's adherence to financial sanctions regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders across Compliance, IT, and Business units to integrate best practices into our product ecosystem.
- Lead the development of a greenfield product by leveraging your regulatory knowledge and affinity for new technologies.
- Design and implement transaction monitoring and risk assessment solutions to proactively manage and mitigate risk within the payments sphere.
- Translate complex regulatory knowledge into practical, groundbreaking compliance tools.
- Drive innovation within our compliance framework, setting new benchmarks for the industry.
- Knowledge/Interest in regulatory requirements, international standards, and best market practice related to Financial Sanctions, particularly on latest developments with regards to Russian and Belarus sanctions.
- Hands-on experience in Financial Sanctions.
- Ability to analyze complex data and proactively develop product solutions to anticipate and mitigate risks.
- Expertise and profound knowledge of payment business and SWIFT message formats (MT/MX).
- Proven ability to pinpoint potential sanction-evasion and money-laundering tactics, along with strategies for prevention.
- Fluency in English for effective team communication and collaboration across departments.
