Role Overview

We are currently seeking an Electrical Network Simulation Expert to join our RelaySimTest team based in Austria. This full-time or part-time position requires collaboration with a dynamic team to develop advanced test approaches for power system protection testing.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the team to create comprehensive tests independent of relay type, manufacturer, and complex parameter settings.
  • Design tests ensuring the correct behavior of the protection system by simulating realistic network events using electromagnetic transient simulation (EMT).
  • Expand and enhance the simulation core with new and advanced elements.
  • Utilize MATLAB for optional modeling of network components and implement these models into the product using C#.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation to guarantee model performance and reliability.
About You

We are looking for individuals with basic knowledge of electrical network modeling and calculation, as well as programming skills. Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools is an advantage. You should be able to analyze complex systems and identify key components and behaviors.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position ranges from €45,000 to €65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include an in-house kitchen team and other perks for a healthy work-life balance.
