Senior Technical Specialist, Machine Learning and AI

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Specialist, Machine Learning and AI to join our R&D team in St. Valentin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating and integrating technologies for automotive products, applying advanced manufacturing principles and software integration, and leading projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and coordinate R&D projects with internal and external departments, suppliers, institutions, and academia.
  • Research the latest advances in technology building blocks for automotive products and systems, software/data analytics methods, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Work with engineering tools to develop prototype and/or production intent solutions.
  • Lead, document, and present advances of the projects.
  • Evaluate technologies and product designs with compliance to scientific principles, engineering, and software development principles, company standards, and customer requirements.
  • Support the development of innovative components or modules from initial concept through full development.
  • Design, simulate, execute, and test Proof of Concept systems/programs.
Requirements
  • Expertise with a variety of Machine Learning methods, their advantages, and disadvantages, available libraries, and their areas of application.
  • Proficiency in one (or more) common programming languages/environments (Python, Rust, C/C++, MATLAB, etc.) and their application for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics.
  • Awareness of global trends related to the automotive and mobility field.
  • A Master degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
