About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Ramboll, a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in executing projects that contribute to the decarbonization of Vienna by 2040.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and adapt buildings and infrastructures to accommodate energy plants and facilities contributing to the energy transition and the circular economy.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and environmental standards, and coordinate with regulatory authorities to secure necessary approvals and permits.
  • Cover all project phases, from concept design to commissioning, and elaborate project deliverables, including site layouts, constructive engineering, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with other trades, clients, and suppliers to guarantee best project quality and implement quality control measures for structural integrity, safety, and adherence to timelines.
  • Lead sub-projects and work packages, mentor junior civil engineers, and promote a Scandinavian-inspired working culture in a new Austrian joint venture.
About You
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering (civil or building engineering) with extensive experience in the energy generation and conversion sector.
  • Knowledge of constructive engineering with steel and concrete structures, local building codes, and experience in assessing existing building structures.
  • Effective teamwork ability, excellent English and German language skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD and/or similar software within a BIM environment.
  • Deep passion for driving positive environmental impact through innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
