About the Role

Frequentis Group, a leading international supplier of communication and information systems, is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Systems Integration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our embedded software team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of our Frequentis Embedded Linux distribution with various hardware and software components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate Frequentis Embedded hardware and software, as well as 3rd party components, into our Frequentis Embedded Linux distribution.
  • Act as a liaison between project management and software development, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion of developments.
  • Support error analysis by reviewing source code and guiding developers to resolve issues.
  • Develop and utilize test cases to verify the functionality and compatibility of integrated components and modules.
  • Analyze system requirements and design documents to prevent potential integration problems or conflicts.
  • Set up and configure test environments to ensure integration tests meet real requirements.
  • Document solutions, findings, and knowledge in our tools, such as Jira/Jama/Confluence.
  • Participate in reviews and provide feedback to improve quality, maintainability, and test coverage.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other teams to share knowledge and expertise.
Requirements
  • Education in embedded systems or computer science, with at least 3 years of professional experience in this field.
  • Strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and teamwork abilities to ensure seamless software component integration.
  • Good IT infrastructure knowledge due to previous work experience.
  • Interest in IT security, scripting languages, embedded hardware, and software, with a focus on Linux.
  • Proficiency in English and German, with the ability to understand, revise, and create technical documentation in both languages.
