Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Sustainable Logistics Solutions to join our team at ALDI SÜD Group. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to shape the future supply chain network with a focus on sustainable transport and alternative drive systems.

About the Role

As a Director of Sustainable Logistics Solutions, you will be responsible for analysing the current supply chain with a focus on transport logistics and emission reduction. You will develop roadmaps and work with country teams to implement green logistics and foster eco-efficient transport solutions.

You will independently lead and develop a team, working in multi-national project teams to understand business requirements of an international organisation. Additionally, you will collaborate with our wider Supply Chain Management team to design and implement solutions that contribute to the creation of a sustainable, resilient, and future-proof supply chain for the ALDI SÜD Group.

Your Profile
  • Completed studies in Logistics, Supply Chain or Sustainability Management, Business Administration or similar
  • Relevant professional experience in areas such as consulting, transportation, etc.
  • Initial leadership experience and a proven track record in sustainable transportation is relevant to this role
  • Deep understanding of the transportation industry and sustainable transportation technology
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (especially Excel)
  • Business-fluent English skills
  • Strong technical and analytical thinking abilities combined with an entrepreneurial mindset, enabling you to make strategic decisions
  • Known for your reliability, strong collaboration skills, and adaptability
  • Will to travel internationally up to 10% of working time
  • Strong communicator with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
