Staff Field Applications Scientist

At Illumina, we're revolutionizing the field of genomics to improve human health. As a Staff Field Applications Scientist, you'll play a critical role in helping our customers unlock the full potential of our technology.

• Provide expert support to customers on complex lab and experimental design, workflow implementation, and data analysis and storage.
• Partner with Commercial sales stakeholders to develop and execute strategic plans for winning new business and expanding customer relationships.
• Manage large-scale customer workflow implementations and assist with customer onboarding.
• Conduct on-site and virtual customer trainings on Illumina's portfolio in the area of proteomics.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve customer complaints and provide subject matter expertise.
• Support new product introductions and evaluate the risk of technical updates.
• Lead departmental project teams and create regional strategies to address support needs.

• PhD in Molecular Biology or related field, or MS with significant experience in the biotechnology field.
• Excellent knowledge in proteomics and biomarker discovery.
• Strong experience with hands-on work in a laboratory, molecular biology techniques, and general lab best practices.
• Knowledge and experience in liquid handling automation systems and genomics, sequencing applications, and Illumina's technology.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels and convey complex information with clarity.
