Senior Manager Battery Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manager Battery Development to lead our Battery Team in the field of Verification, Validation & Reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, and at least 5 years of management experience in a series production environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Battery Team in the development and implementation of processes, standards, and methods in the specialist team.
  • Technical responsibility for development projects in the area of Verification, Validation & Reliability with a focus on Battery and Electrical Systems.
  • Decide on the project assignment of team members and plan and monitor operating accounts, investments, and the workload of the specialist team.
  • Lead customer meetings for project discussion and acquisition, and support project planning and provide technical advice for sales and product lines.
  • Monitor technological trends and new methods on the market, and develop and implement concepts to increase efficiency.
  • Prepare specialist presentations and publications, and represent the company at specialist conferences and congresses.

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree in a related field, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or automotive engineering.
  • At least 5 years of management experience with a cooperative management style and sound expertise in the verification, validation, and reliability of batteries and electrified powertrains in a series production environment.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and sales talent, paired with the ability to work in a team, creativity, and a sense of responsibility.
  • Strong analytical, structuring, decision-making, and implementation skills.
  • Confident demeanor and experience in working and communicating with local and global teams.
  • Customer orientation and sensitivity to the wishes and criticism of internal and external customers.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Very good knowledge of German and English.

Annual Remuneration:

Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry. We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
