Key Responsibilities:

  • Design innovative control strategies for the entire lifecycle and various operational scenarios of the plant.
  • Establish specifications for control systems.
  • Collaborate on the selection of control equipment.
  • Participate in HAZOP and LOPA assessments.
  • Integrate control loop indications into piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Draft process function descriptions, interlock specifications, and control loop schematics.
  • Work closely with project management and other disciplines such as piping, layout, static and rotating equipment, electrical, and automation during both proposal and engineering phases.
  • Serve as the liaison to software engineers.
  • Lead software Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs).
  • Contribute to the commissioning, start-up, and optimization efforts.
  • Refine and enhance control strategies for research and development projects.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in automation or process engineering.
  • At least three years of experience as a process control or instrumentation and control engineer; experience in the petrochemical or gas industry is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with gas system control.
  • Experience in PLC programming is a plus.
  • Ability to consult with clients and regulatory bodies regarding technical design specifications.
  • Capable of articulating design solutions effectively.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused and proactive, with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in another European language is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
