About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse ETL Developer to join our team at Erste Digital. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving ETL code and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop ETL code and workflows to extract, transform, and load data into our data warehouse.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and experts to propose solutions and improve existing systems and processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Use SQL for testing phases and automate regression tests to ensure data quality.
  • Manage release processes and prepare test data to ensure smooth deployment.
  • Participate in agile team activities and communicate with business colleagues to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Produce clean, efficient code and create technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and reuse.
  • Analyze and optimize existing systems and processes to improve data quality and reduce costs.
  • Recommend and execute technical improvements to enhance data warehouse performance.
  • Support the solution manager with technical requests and provide expert advice on data warehouse design and development.

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of database design, preferably Data Warehouse.
  • Experience with testing and release management.
  • Significant experience with Oracle and PL/SQL.
  • Knowledge of test automation for Data Warehouse.
  • Proficiency in Java and Oracle APEX.
  • Proactive and assertive in addressing business issues.
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the banking environment is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
