Lead SAP Procurement Consultant

Job Overview

This position plays a crucial role in driving digital transformation within the procurement function across the organization, collaborating with various departments and stakeholders. You will engage closely with business units, global procurement teams, and IT to ensure a cohesive and integrated strategy. This role will report directly to the Head of Procurement Technologies & Processes. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance and streamline the purchase-to-pay process within our IT framework, focusing on SAP MM and partially on FI. You will serve as the main contact for technical challenges or system-related inquiries regarding our systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and execute IT projects in the procurement domain, including customization for our SAP ECC Roll Out and S4, along with managing upgrades, releases, and enhancements.
  • Provide effective 2nd-level support across all countries where SAP is operational, assisting power users who deliver 1st-level support.
  • Collaborate with IT on interface definitions for various systems and contribute to process optimization initiatives.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for technical queries or system-related issues, including conducting system testing.
  • Depending on project requirements, manage external consultants, procurement, and IT teams.
Qualifications
  • Over 5 years of experience in the purchase-to-pay process.
  • Expertise in customizing SAP ECC and/or S4, particularly in the MM module.
  • Proven experience in leading projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities and empathy, capable of advocating for standard systems while engaging with diverse individuals and cultures.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills, paying attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and openness to new ideas and technologies.
  • Assertive personality, comfortable making difficult decisions.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and drive progress in the right direction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to structure and prioritize tasks effectively.

A competitive salary is offered for this position, commensurate with qualifications and relevant professional experience.

As required by law, we must state a minimum salary. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is EUR, in accordance with the collective agreement (woodworking industry).
